Mambo CMS 4.5.3 Holiday patch release |

Team Mambo announces the Mambo CMS 4.5.3 Holiday patch release (nominated “4.5.3h”). The patch is available now for download in a variety of formats at MamboForge.Net.
Note that this is not a security-related patch, but rather is designed to address some of the issues that have arisen with the recent releases of related software, specifically MySQL5 and Firefox1.5.
That means users need only upgrade to this patch if they are experiencing difficulties with their present installation of 4.5.3. Users who are not experiencing any issues with their present 4.5.3 installation may choose not to install this patch (though you may wish to do so for the minor enhancements and bug fixes described, below).
Here’s a list of what's new in Mambo 4.5.3h:
1. Improved compatibility with MySQL v.5.
2. TinyMCE update from 1.45 to 2.0.1 to fix issues with newer browsers, including Firefox 1.5. (Safari support is experimental and Opera is not supported.)
3. System Information link added to the Admin interface.
4. Bug Fixes: For details on other additions and bug fixes not listed here, please check the changelog.php file that is included with the distribution. We will be removing the 4.5.3 download and replacing it with a 4.5.3h full install file.
Team Mambo will also be removing the 4.5.2.3 to 4.5.3 patch and replacing it with the 4.5.2.3 to 4.5.3h patch. Patches will be available to bring users from 4.5.2.3 & 4.5.3 to 4.5.3h.

EZ Store 1.1 for Mambo, which contains numerous bug-fixes, a completely rewritten language file with extended language support, and the addition of WYSIWYG editor support for various areas of the shop. This allows the addition of multiple product images within the product description area itself - one of the very big requests by users. There have been some minor cosmetic changes to the store's front-end, and the store's Terms of Service have been moved into the configuration area with WYSIWYG editor support - eliminating the need to manually edit a front-end file as in the past. Other new configuration options include whether or not to show the toplist menu items, and the seller's name can now be set for plain text or hyperlinking to ComProfiler.
